Why I'm fundraising

This March we’re stepping up in a big way — 150km for the 150 children born with NF in Australia each year 💙 We’re taking part in Step Up for NF to support the amazing work of the Children’s Tumour Foundation and everyone living with neurofibromatosis (NF). Our reason is very close to our hearts — our littlest love Hughie was diagnosed with NF before he even turned one. Like most things in his world, he’s taking it in his stride, but we’re fundraising to make sure families like ours have access to the support, information and advocacy they need (and to help move us closer to a future where this isn’t part of any child’s story). More than 13,000 Australians live with this complex genetic condition, which can cause tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body — so we’re walking to say loud and clear: tumours shouldn’t be anyone’s normal. Our team goal is $1000, and every donation helps turn our kilometres into real change for the NF community.
