This March, I’d like to invite you to join me in taking on 150km collectively for the 150 children born with NF in Australia each year. I am looking for a minimum of 3 people to join me in walking 10km every Sunday (30KM collectively x 5 Sundays) to achieve 150KM in the month of March. I will lead a walk every Sunday on these dates and you are invited to join me: Sunday, 1 March Sunday, 8 March Sunday, 22 March Sunday, 29 March Start and end point: Milsons Point Harbour Bridge Stairs Time: 4.00pm for a 4.10pm start, and we will set off on a 10KM walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge towards Sydney Chinatown with a pit stop to enjoy some refreshments (at our own cost) and return to Milsons Point. It's not about the distance or the speed of completion here, but about our collective IMPACT! Move8.org is a fitness advocacy platform that promotes inclusive sports, accessible sports for all! Why am I doing this? I’m taking part in Step Up for NF to support the Children’s Tumour Foundation and everyone affected by neurofibromatosis (NF). More than 13,000 Australians live with this complex genetic condition, which can cause tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body. I’m stepping up because tumours shouldn’t be anyone’s normal. My goal is to raise {$500} to increase awareness and help the Children’s Tumour Foundation provide the support, information and advocacy that families rely on. Your donation, big or small, helps people living with NF get the care and guidance they need. Together, we can turn every step into real change for the NF community.

“Shirley had tumours in her brain, and I've been her carer for a decade now. I'm walking for mum and to raise awareness about NF. Chin up, she reminds me, keep on smiling and hold your head up high.”
